Hurricane Ian hit ground in Florida
Hurricane Ian was the 3rd most costly weather disaster on record. While only 149 deaths are attributed to the storm, thousands of lives were lost in the aftermath, or "surge" of the storm. The surge hit during high tide, leading to massive flooding. Homeless people were swept away in the current, families were trapped inside of their homes, and many were unable to evacuate before losing their lives.

For those who did survive, there is still so much to do to repair the damage of Hurricane Ian. Help us do our part to help rebuild the community of Fort Myers.
